Easter 2010

This is the first Easter weekend that Guy and I have been home in the 13 years that we have been Married. We ended up in Vernal celebrating it with the Meiers, Gales and Martinsens and had tonz of fun. Easter won't quite be the same not being able to go to Idaho, but we will have fun making new traditions...thank you to the Vernalites for allowing us to celebrate with you. We miss you Grandpa and Grandma White and will always remember to good old days.

Dying Easter Eggs

Easter Egg hunt at the park, it was so cold but the girls had fun anyway.

The kids spent almost the whole weekend outside playing, jumping and riding around!! Treven (who is 7) even taught the girls how to drive the Kaboda and they loved it!!!

Neighborhood Easter Egg hunt, very cold but it didn't stop the kids :)

Snowboarding

The girls have asked me for the last couple of years to go snowboarding and I always said no. I finally gave in this year and we went and took a lesson and then went up the next day with some friends. We had a blast and went back the next week.

Painters half marathon, St.George,UT

We have put together a team for the Wasatch Back Relay for June, so to prepare for it, we are trying to run some races. First one was the Painters Half and it was great. The scenery was amazing, great weather and both of us were able to accomplish our goals we set: finish, run the whole thing and finish under 2 hrs. Guy's time 1:45, mine 1:54!!! So proud of him an how much he has accomplished since August, he is definitely the motivator right now :)

Our cute supporters....

Brinlee turns 7

I saw this cake on someones blog and showed it to Brinlee and she asked me if we could make it for her birthday, so, I set out the day of to find the things I would need for this cake :) After about 5 stores, cake mixes, frosting and a big sucker I still did not have the bottom piece for it. Could have done without it, but it really made the cake, so, at about noon, I lucked out and someone directed me to Roberts where I found it!!! Headed home to make the cakes. Got the bottom layer baked and pretty cool and attempted to add it to the bottom piece and turned it upside down, which did not work, so I tried to turn it over and it fell apart. Just then, Guy walked in and asked what I was going to do and I with no time to make another 1st layer, I had to try and salvage this one. So, with the 2 cans of frosting I had for the whole cake, got it pieced back together. Had to make another trip to the store at 3:00 to get some more frosting...so, 3 cake mixes, 4 cans of frosting and lots of bubble gum....the finished product.

It was worth all the hassle, Brinlee loved it and it was a hit of the party.

Hollywood Connection...bumper cars, rides and laser tag.

Highlights of 2009

Since I have been "so good" at this blogging thing, ha ha, going to post highlights from 2009...

Some highlights that I did not have pictures to post were:

Youth Conference on the river. Got to go to Moab with the Youth and went river rafting for 2 days.

Neighborhood Sprint Triathalon: Guy and I trained with Robin and Aaron Carver and completed the triathalon. Lots of fun and now have the bug to do more!!!!

The rest follow with pictures.....

Hannah turns 9

The cupcake butterfly Cake...um um good

The party skaters... wasn't sure what Guy and I were getting ourselves into taking all these girls iceskating, but they surprised us, they all were pretty good at it and had a blast.

Even Josh and Chad!!!!

Sledding

We had lots of fun this year going sledding. Found a fun big, crazy hill by our house, they actual have a snowboarding rail at the bottom of it!!! Went up to the cabin and hung out and of course, had to go sledding :)

Christmas

What would Christmas be without new jammies...

Can you say EXCITED????

Visit from "Santa"

So we had a suprise visit from Santa and invited some of the kids in the neighborhood to see him. They couldn't wait to have their turn to sit on santa's lap and tell them that they had been good and what they wanted for Christmas.

Yes...even me!!!

Family night and a Gingerbread house

Christmas Tree

I love Christmas, but I hated decorating the tree because I had tons of little ornaments, but this year, I bought all new ones and have to say, actually liked decorating the tree!! The girls also loved it this year because they didn't get to help with the tree much because it would be a lot of ornaments in one spot, but this year, they got to put all of the old ornaments on the 3 little trees downstairs all by themselves.
